World Adaptive Surfing Championship 2018

Adaptive Surfing will see the 4th World Championship at La Jolla shores, San Diego California during the first week of December 2018. Albert Rust has been selected to represent South Africa for the second time where more than 20 other countries will compete across 5 different ability divisions. Albert Rust suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from his neck. With the limited movement, Albert surfs in the AS5 assist division and will be taking ISA surf coach, Albert Millard as his assisting team mate and support in and out of the water. Team Albert has been surfing as a team for the past four years and each have been surfing in the adaptive surf scene since 2011. Albert Rust is the three time national champion and Albert Millard has seven years experience with differently able people in the surf, these two make a formidable team and we wish them all of the best and good luck for their journey to world champs 2018.
